Sambika chocolate

Sambika chocolate, made with a single-origin cocoa

The cocoa used to make Sambika chocolates comes from beans grown and processed in close collaboration with our growers in Madagascar. With tangy notes of citrus fruits and red fruits,

The key: a “Single Origin” chocolate, round in the mouth, with notes of citrus fruits and red fruits that can only be found in a tiny part of world production.

Madagascar cocoa needs no introduction. Praised by artisan chocolate makers around the world, the white bean from the Big Island was awarded the “Fine Cocoa” label by the World Cocoa Federation (ICCO) in 2015.

Ingredients

The ingredients used to make Sambika chocolate bars and sweets are rigorously selected.

According to the recipes, we use organic raw materials such as sugar cane, cocoa beans, or even cocoa butter.

We also draw on the many local ingredients to offer unique tastes: ginger, artisanal cane sugar, or even coconut.

Bean to bar

The Bean-to-bar is a concept that highlights the involvement of the chocolate maker in his work. A real movement in favor of craftsmanship, this way of making chocolate has the advantage of being precisely controllable from the bean to the chocolate. The result? A product of better quality and directly available to consumers.

With Sambika, we want to promote quality products that respect the integrity of natural ecosystems. From crushing and roasting to molding, through the grinding and mixing stages, everything is done on the Big Island and on a human scale.

Our producers

Valuing and protecting the working conditions of our employees are values that are dear to us. The production chain has been designed to effectively contribute to improving the quality of life of producers and communities working with Sambika.

Therefore we have chosen to work directly with cocoa farmers and local staff for the production of chocolate, without costly and superfluous intermediaries.

The benefits

This sweetly bitter food is more than just a treat! Chocolate is a sweetness that has accompanied the most refined dishes, and whose history dates back more than 4,000 years!

Its benefits are no longer to be described, between its stimulating effects for memory and concentration, its antidepressant side, or its regulatory faculties for blood pressure.

To take advantage of all these benefits, you must also choose a good chocolate, which contains at least 60% cocoa!
